A Recipe Full of Love

Ingredients:
4 pieces of whole wheat square puff pastry
1 cup fresh strawberries
2 teaspoons strawberry jam or any preferred jam variety
1 large, 1 small heart-shaped pastry cutter
Powdered sugar for dusting Instructions:
Remove the puff pastries from the freezer and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the puff pastries on the parchment paper and let them thaw slightly. Once softened, use the large pastry cutter to cut out heart shapes from the puff pastries, and repeat the same process for the other 4 square pastries. Cut a small heart shape from the center of one of the large heart-shaped puff pastries. Place the other large heart-shaped puff pastry over the one with the heart-shaped cutout, aligning them. Fill the center cavity with 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam and 2 fresh strawberries. Repeat the same process for the other pastry. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and bake for approximately 20 minutes. Allow the heart-shaped pastries to cool on a wire rack after removing them from the oven. Dice the remaining strawberries into small pieces and fill the cooled pastries. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy these love-filled strawberry puff pastry hearts.
